Well, today is Thursday, and I have been trying to contact a customer service rep since Monday. The problem seemed simple: I could not open my Hotmail messages anymore.I was shown a window which stated "service temporarily unavailable, try again later." But it had been 4 weeks. I went online to find a phone number, but was blocked by a machine when I didn't have the social security number of the person who mailed me the phone to be on their "family plan". They claimed it was a security issue. So I wrote to a customer service rep online to report my inability to use the phone service. I asked the rep to call me. Tuesday I was told to call the same number. I repeated the facts, and explained again that all are blocked except the policy holder, who was 1200 miles away.Wednesday I was told to either call the same number or go to the nearest repair center, which turned out to be "88 minutes away". Too bad I don't have a license right now. I rewrote, and asked to forward my problem to someone who was capable of understanding and solving it. I again recommended them calling me. By Thursday they had given up and informed me that they were unable to figure out a solution and were ending my complaint. The name of the rep was "Devon K". They signed it "where customers come first"! Soon afterward I found a website which advised me how to bypass the automatic operator blockade by simply pressing "0" when they asked for the social security number. I managed to talk to a live person with no help from Devon, or was it Demon?
