How to Leave a Rant

SprintRants.com is an open sounding page to let you release all that built up tention you have after you get done dealing with a sprint “customer service” representative. What is a rant you ask?

rant: a loud bombastic declamation expressed with strong emotion

Be loud, be bombastic, rant, don’t rave, and tell us all what you think about SprintPCS and Sprints customer service. Do you have a cell phone and dial *2 with them same distaste in your mouth as I do. If you do then leave a rant or comment on someone elses rant. Sprint has no way of knowing who left what so be real.

  1. I’ve recently moved to the US from Europe and despite warnings from friends chose SPRINT because of their International Calling Plan feature. Nowhere did it say that I need to wait 90 days before I can make international calls.
I battled with them for over 2 weeks and on the final day before I could have returned my phone they promised me international dialing for April 18th. That’s today- I still can’t make international calls and they still claim I have to wait 90 days. There was “no record” of previous communication with me on this (thank God I saved over a dozen emails from between Sprint and me)
I asked them if that means that all the previous people I spoke to are liars then, but all I got was “I do apologize, thank you for choosing Sprint together with Nextel.”
F**k them. I’m almost ready to just live with the $150 early termination fee and change providers.

  2. Why? Why do I pay for insurance on a phone. It’s because my phone is valuable to be. It’s how I work. It IS my work! I need it to provide for my family. So I buy an expensive phone that does everything I need. It works great. I LOVE that phone. But alas…There comes a time in a phones life when it needs a doctor, or a grave. I call Sprint, who I love…To find my insurance goes somewhere else? I have to wait 10 days for a phone? I can’t work for 10 days?!?! What the crap is that about? Why does it seem they want me to pay the stupid fee to switch to another provider. Sure it will cost me another 500 for a new phone, and the couple hundred for getting out of my contract, but my phone bill is about 125 a month. That means that sprint looses about 1500 a year. And when I’m happy, I stay for years. So Sprint pushes me away and they loose 1500 a year till I die. 3000 a traditional 2 year contract is no longer for them. I guess cingular will offer me the same phone for less to get me and my Family to join. But it wont stop there. My employees who I currently had on a sprint plan (To save money with PCS to PCS calling) Will also be switching to cingular. Now it’s not just my money they miss out on, but about 10 other people. Who will more than likely try to get their friends and family to switch with us so that they can save money with the cingular calling plan.
So now sprint could loose thousands a year because they want to take food off my table by making it so stupid to get a replacement phone. 10 days without a phone costs me money, so now it will cost them. I paid my insurance money to protect me from being without a phone.
When I first started with sprint, I had a phone that dropped calls from time to time. Sure it’s a big deal, but at least I could make and recieve calls aftre one was dropped. Well I walked into my local sprint store, told them about my problem, and they handed me a new (Working) phone right away, and I was a happy sprint customer back on the street feeding my family. But now that Sprint has gone with this other company to handel insurance… No thanks. I’ll give my money to another phone company. Thank you Sprint for making my choice easy.
