Sprint Replaced My Phone

Who new sprint was doing this!?!

I walked right into a sprint store after my MotoQ 9c had a screen go blank and 1 hour later got a new phone. Actually it wasn’t that easy, but much easier than my last sprint phones that have gone down.

While on vacation the screen on my MotoQ 9c went blank. Everything else worked, except the screen. I could feel the thing vibrate indicating I was getting email, it would turn on, and very very very faintly I could see the home screen, if I was in the light.

So I went to the first store. They said, sorry we’re not a service center, but if you take it to the service center at XYZ Sprint Store, they’ll be able to either fix it or replace it. Great, gotta pay $500 for a new phone I thought. Nope, the rep told me it would be between $25 and $50.

So I called around, and had to speak to a few supervisors, and sure enough, 3 calls later, I found a guy who said, no problem, we’ll just replace it with an in-store phone if we don’t have a direct replacement.

Sure enough, $50.

So the story is, take your phone to a service center, ask for a supervisor, and hope that the phone gets replaced….

    1. It sounds like you had a great experience with Sprint. That’s good to know. So many companies are losing site of the importance of quality customer care. I’ve worked for many companies that don’t care about the customer after the initial sale. It looks like not all stores cared enough to help but it’s good to know one store did. I recently read a customer service book that had incredible insights by a guy named Rich Hanks. It’s critical to take care of your customers.
