Thanks, Sprint Sucks and Forum Coming Soon
Thanks to those of you making this the best ranting month at sprint rants yet, we are currently at over a rant a day, which I guess is a real bad thing if you’re a sprint customer. Now yes I realize that some of those are people trying to help but a rant is a rant, and Sprint still sucks.
Just to keep you all updated, we are going to make the Sprint Rant Forum Live within the next week. In it you’ll find fellow ranters, sprint representatives, and tips and more to help you move your ranting and sprint service moans to the next level.
You’ll be able to swap phones, bitch to customer service reps, figure out promos, figure out the ins and outs of sprint suckage. This and that and more.
We should have several qualified people dropping in on a regular basis to see how things are and to answer questions and you can rant and rave all you want there as well.
We’re not sure if it’s going to take off but at least it’ll be another place where people can try and figure out how to better their crappy sprint service!

Sprint has an okay plan, but phones suck….
Comment by Nicole — March 5, 2007 @ 11:02 ami’ve check like every month to see if another good phone has came out i have the samsung slider m-a800 or whatever, great phone but lacks bluetooth & speakerphone. I mean I thought this expensive @$$ phone would carry somthing like a speakerphone… But not sprint sucks on phones…
Believe it or not, there is worse support out there than Sprint. I’ll spare you the details, but Cingular put a whole different meaning to the term screw job, and that remains even after my latest sprint fall out. A year ago I purchased a Sprint version Treo650, with the intent of coming back after one year to leverage the two year rebate to purchase a new Treo700wx (i had a phone for one year prior to the 650). When I contacted Sprint, they informed me that my rebate had been reset when I activated my 650 a year ago, REGARDLESS of the fact that I didn’t purchase the phone from Sprint. No one ever informed me of this small print rule when I was activating my phone. Regardless, they had no right to reset my rebate term. In the end, I got them to put my rebate status back to where it was, after 2 hours of explaining logic to four different levels of representatives. Eventually, I got a manager who didn’t find it worth his time to fight with me, especially considering I’ve have a two phone package where they are making $110 a month on myself and my wife…. FOR FOUR YEARS!!! That being said, Spint customer service is far from good, but I’ve experienced worse. In the end it may not even matter, because if they don’t get a better selection and better pricing on their PDAs, I won’t be sticking around for their next wave of phones two years past their prime. How are cingular and verizon cornering the sweet phone market?
Comment by Jason — March 26, 2007 @ 7:14 pmIn a move that many UK mobile users hope will be copied over here, American network operator AT&T is offering free festive ringtones to its customers.
Jingle Bells is, of course, one of the ringtones, along with the more obscure The Dreidel Song and the under-rated Noche de Paz.
Free answer tones are also offered courtesy of a cover version of Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by Cyndi Lauper who had hits with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Time After Time. She is one of many artists to give their take on the ever-green Christmas classic, which has also been given treatments by the likes of Kim Wilde and Mel Smith.
For AT&T customers willing to pay money for ringtones, All I Want For Christmas Is You, by Whitney Houston rival Mariah Carey is available to download.
The Mistletoe Jam by Luther Vandross will also be appearing on many handsets.
Keeping alive the family tradition of Christmas music – her father Nat recorded The Christmas Song four times – will be Natalie Cole whose version of the Brian Wilson-penned Merry Christmas, Baby is sure to be an unforgettable ringtone.
