Sanyo and Sprint just announced another wonderful edition to their Sprint PCS Vision phone collection today. The Sanyo A640.

The Sanyo A640 is supposed to provide customers with “Superior Visual Quality.” There are new features to the backlit displays which include user changeable interfaces on the display that one can change between a black and white menu. Great.

The camera has a digital zoom and a timer for those pictures you really want to take on the small cheap imager that is your phone. It also has a personal organizer that if like other Sanyo personal organizer options is quite lacking.

Although the display options would be nice to play with it doesn’t sound like the Sanyo A640 is the superior visual wave of the future.
