866-463-3017 – Call from Sprint
Yup you guessed it, that 866-463-3017 number you don’t know how got your number is a wonderful voice recorded call from Sprint. I’ve gottent called a few times from the number and have been a little annoyed as it seems other’s have as well.
Could Sprint start sucking even more that their billion dollar ad campaigns don’t work well enough they have to call you and bug you on your cell phone wasting your minutes!!!!!!!!
They have to call me up, waste my minutes and tell me about new plans (that’s what the call is for.)
If you’ve gotten that call we want to know and we want you to leave a rant. It’s easy to do and annonymous.

Just called back that damn number and added my number to Sprint’s do-not-call list. Let’s
Comment by Tyler — June 13, 2006 @ 7:24 amhope the list is honored.
[...] Sprint is at it again. For those of you who have gotten the call from 866-463-3017 which turns out to be sprint soliciting their own crap you’ve probably had enough right there. Some people have reported that they’ve called back and said to put their number on the do not call list for sprint (good luck with that working). But they’re at it again. [...]
Pingback by Text Message from 4444 - SprintFreeMsg -- SprintRants.com - Together without SUPPORT — June 14, 2006 @ 1:46 pmothers have called sprint customer service (scroll down at http://www.hespos.com/archives/000835.html ) and it’s a scam.
Comment by don't answer — January 3, 2007 @ 10:15 amJust got one a couple of minutes ago. I also got one at work. They’re annoying. The crappy thing is that companies are now soliciting their own customers Seriously…wtf!!
Comment by Devon — April 10, 2007 @ 2:46 pmI have Nextel but am dropping it because of Sprint. I can’t even get to yhe Chicag loop where my son works. In my opinion Sprint stinks.
Comment by jim — April 25, 2007 @ 10:44 amGet two to three ADAY! now. Haven’t ever answered the call because it is an 866 number but nice to know who is calling!
Comment by Rick — April 26, 2007 @ 9:50 ambeing called by sprint to get me to sign a contract with them, here is the kicker, I am an existing customer, go figure!! Sprint you are idiots, use your brains
Comment by Natalie — June 7, 2007 @ 6:27 amAutomated recorded voice calls me 2-3 times a day about Sprint promotions. I am not a Sprint customer, I am on the Do Not Call List, which they do not honor and I always call back and beg them to stop calling me. A popular time for them to send out these automated calls is early in the morning on weekends, waking me up and when I angrily call back to give hell, I get the response “our office is now closed, please call back during normal business hours.” So, they are sending these calls out and not even there to talk to you if you are interested in the promotion! ARGH!!!! I am an ex-Sprint customer. I HATE them and want to stop receiving these calls for good!!
Comment by Rachel Rachfal — June 18, 2007 @ 4:24 amThey called me awhile back and I asked them to take me off of their call list and they said it wouldn’t be a problem. Then 3 months later, they have started calling again, but they call at the worst times and I am never in a place where I can yell at them so I don’t answer it. Has anybody had any success getting them to leave you alone.
Comment by Joe — July 19, 2007 @ 9:21 amjust so you know, the calls you get on your cell phone from sprint do NOT use up your minutes.
Comment by wyg — November 14, 2009 @ 10:33 amI just got a call today as well…..I have added them to my BLOCKED CALL list.
I use an application, CALL BLOCK, which you have to pay for but it’s well worth it:
See if there’s a version for your cell phone:

I just received a call from that #. I also think that Nextel/Sprint sends you text messages from strange numbers. Just think…if they send a text message to 100,000 people and 50,000 of them don’t have texting plans, and they get 5 cents for every one that is read…that’s $2500. Hmmmm…….I don’t open them anymore. I just delete them.
Comment by WTF — November 17, 2009 @ 11:58 amNo WTF, both phone calls and text messages from Sprint are free. If you check your bill details you’ll see that there’s no charge for them.
Comment by Dan Grossman — November 21, 2009 @ 11:29 amall of you need to get a life
Comment by Anonymous — November 24, 2009 @ 5:38 ammake a big deal out of nothing
just don’t answer the call dumb asses
i’ve been wondering what the hell those calls are about, bc i’d hear unintelligible conversations in the background and it’s just fucking ridiculous! thanks for the post.
Comment by Anonymous — December 1, 2009 @ 10:27 amI got this call several months ago.. used my minutes.. talked to them and got a free month of service. Then they continued to call every day to both mine and my husband’s phone. I answered the calls.. told them I already handled their stupid survey and please don’t call back as now it is unwarranted and unwanted. I still continue to get the calls. And to answer a previous post.. I did check my bill and it DID go against my minutes.
Comment by Anonymous — December 2, 2009 @ 12:13 pmi like sprint. have had them for over ten years and have received good service the whole time.
Comment by Anonymous — December 29, 2009 @ 9:31 amI called Sprint and they said this wasn’t them calling. I’m thinking it’s a scam ’cause they wanted lots of personal info, which I didn’t give them.
Comment by Anonymous — January 2, 2010 @ 2:13 pmTo the anonymous person who posted:
You’ve been with them ten years and never had a problem? Ha. Who the hell are you sleeping with to receive that kind of service. I’ve been with them for less then three months and I want out of my contract. Sprint doesn’t care about their customers.
Maybe we as customers should protest outside of sprint stores or something.
Comment by tiana — January 23, 2010 @ 4:04 pmThis number called me this afternoon. I was driving home from my local Virginia V.A. clinic when I get this suspicious call. I didn’t recognize the number. So, I didn’t answer it. After I checked on the number, I’m glad I didn’t. This number is a complete scam set up by Sprint. Honestly, pissing of current customers is NOT going to expand your customer base. Mabey I’ll put my number back on the don not call list. Again…
Comment by Mike — March 12, 2010 @ 3:59 pmI have been with sprint for about 8 yrs and have never had a problem with them or there service. I even went camping to a place where you have to drive about 5 miles back to get cell reception. They even call it “cell phone rock” and you see alot of people there using their cell phones. I was surprised when I got a call on my cell phone right there in camp with good reception and other people camping there were surprised I had service there.
Comment by Alex — July 27, 2010 @ 7:06 amI did receive a missed call from the number mentioned in above post today. Did not know it was sprint.
